Lido Beach Wedding

This Summer wedding celebration was held at a "Mushroom" in Lido Beach.  The original vows were taken abroad, so this was a day for all the friends and family to come together for well wishing.  The beach provided a casual setting loaded with fun and entertainment for all ages.  Custom catering provided an upmarket BBQ that rivaled that of a fine restaurant.  The design of the dessert table was to be elegant, with an elite color scheme of only white and brown.  For a hot day outside, anything chocolate, or easily spoiled was immediately ruled out.  Royal icing decorated the lollipop cake balls, decorated in sprinkles; some white and some chocolate.  Brownies satisfied anyone's chocolate fix, with a marshmallow topping creatively adorned in letters of M and G, the initials of both the groom and now the bride.  Hundreds of chic flowers with iridescent glitter were used to decorate a sleek two tiered wedding cake and matching cupcakes.  Initial drawings helped to determine the best way to promote the contrast between white and brown.  Tasteful cake flavors: Chocolate and vanilla.

Halloween Wedding Bash

Held on October 31st, a bride and groom dressed in costume: wedding dress and tuxedo, donning masquerade masks.  For the final "costume change" the bride and groom become Sonny and Cher (respectively).  The aim for the dessert table was to be elegant yet fun, representing the personality of the newly weds.  Conversations for the goodie design ranged from pumpkins and skeletons representing Halloween or ideas that incorporated leaves to stand for Autumn festivities.  The final decision was to adhere to the innocent traditions of this holiday to be the thread through the entire dessert table while incorporating foliage colors of yellows, reds, and browns.  Homemade sugar cookies were  decorated as Masquerade masks and traditional candy corn.  White and dark Chocolate covered Oreos adorned with orange sugar pumpkins along with chocolate covered pretzel sticks and marshmallows with orange and red sprinkles all adhered to the applicable color scheme.  Colorful cupcakes were displayed on a higher table along with a small cake as the center of attention.  Flavor: Carrot Spice Cake

London Townhouse Wedding

These desserts were made for a wedding that was held in a posh townhouse that blends in with the most famous museums in the world. Classic design and age-old décor was the setting for a business woman bride and her academic groom. We determined the design of the dessert table based on the size of the layout of the suite and its elegant furnishings. Through brief sketches and continued conversations, we changed from red roses to yellow ones, and we considered a single layer cake that would cascade downward with layers of cupcakes, utilizing the whole table. British cupcakes, or Fairy Cakes, are smaller than their American cousins, and they are bite size. Actually, about two bites. Flavors: White Chocolate and Raspberry, Chocolate Mud Cake, and Orange Poppy Seed, which was also the flavor of the cake. White fondant covered the cake, with many yellow roses, leaves, and blue lattice. The extending Fairy Cakes were covered in buttercream frosting, and adorned with a single yellow rose, leaves and matching blue lattice.
